This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effectiveness of consumer legal protection in e-commerce transactions in Indonesia, with a focus on the distribution of liability between digital platforms and sellers. This research employs a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that although the regulatory framework is relatively comprehensive, its implementation still faces several challenges, including weak supervision, low levels of digital literacy, and unclear allocation of legal responsibilities. This study recommends the adoption of a shared liability model based on strengthening the preventive, curative, and compensatory functions of platforms, as well as enhancing seller accountability.
